Interview with Dr. Subramani Saravanashekar for TradeFlock
TradeFlock: So hello, sir.
Dr. Saravanashekar: Hi.
TradeFlock: How are you doing?
Dr. Saravanashekar: Yeah, great.
TradeFlock: How has your experience been so far at Convergence?
Dr. Saravanashekar: It has been great. It’s the second day. We got a lot of traction yesterday, so hopefully it will be good today and tomorrow as well.
TradeFlock: Can you please start by telling us something about ITALON? What is the brand and what is the function?
Dr. Saravanashekar: Yeah, sure. We are a Russian brand. The name is ITALON. We specialize in professional fuel monitoring. We have been in the market for more than 20 years now. We manufacture our sensors in Russia and export them to more than 100 countries all over the world. We have installed more than one billion sensors globally, and we have helped a lot of businesses with fuel consumption control. Our fuel sensors bring real business value to the table.
TradeFlock: What do you think is the biggest technology trend right now?
Dr. Saravanashekar: I think, in our case, if you take fuel sensors, we are focusing on the transport sector and wherever fuel is used. Our concept is that wherever there is a fuel tank, you can install a fuel sensor. It may be moving trucks, buses, or stationary diesel generator sets. Wherever there is a fuel tank, we help our customers economize, and we control fuel consumption in a very precise way.
TradeFlock: How do you think this idea can revolutionize mobility?
Dr. Saravanashekar: This concept is basically from the aviation and aeronautical industry. As you know, the price of fuel is rising every day. In logistics and in many other businesses, fuel constitutes more than 60% of the expenses. Economizing fuel helps businesses develop, and it also brings down costs. I think our fuel sensors do this in a very precise way. Our accuracy is 99.5%, and we help our customers save each and every drop of fuel.
TradeFlock: Just one last question. Is there any new technology that ITALON is developing?
Dr. Saravanashekar: Yes. We have developed BLE sensors as well. Now we have both wired and BLE sensors. Customers can use BLE sensors to economize their expenses and provide a better service.
TradeFlock: Thank you so much for speaking with us.
Dr. Saravanashekar: Thank you.
